Excellent service, and good value too. Recommended to me for the microcement finish that we are using. Gordon was my contact, very responsive and helpful. Execution of work was to plan, and they also saved me time too by taping my airtightness membrane to their membrane, much appreciated. Our screed is deeper than normal at about 85mm average depth, also to maximise thermal mass we have a clip rail system necessitating mechanical fixing to the concrete slab, which made installation trickier and more time consuming vs using an insulation layer but they did an excellent job of securing the pipes. Our house is bit unusual, about passive house standard, and an upside down open plan layout, requiring a completely open loop UFH arrangement and a bias to heating open the ground floor open plan areas which are essentially the radiator for the upper floor
Everything taken in their stride.

Owner's reply
Thank you for the 5 star review and for recommending us. We are glad the microcement finish recommendation, Gordon's responsiveness, and the team saving you time by taping the membranes were helpful. We appreciate you noting the deeper screed and more complex mechanical fixings, and are pleased the team handled your passive house, upside down layout and open loop UFH arrangement to plan. Many thanks for the detailed feedback.

We were looking to install underfloor heating so went to the 2025 Home Show at the SSEC in Glasgow. We had done a bit of research beforehand but actively sought out specialists at the show. This is how we came across Next Level, a Perth based firm who carry out installations throughout Scotland. We spent some time with the guys as they explained what they did and how they did it. We were impressed by the guys as they are the people who actually install the system and clearly knew what they were talking about.
Our project was delayed with local authority issues and we enlisted a good local builder - he also did his research which led to Next Level - how glad and lucky we were!
The guys came in and were very professional in their approach and the care they took. Everything was spot on and when it came to our kitchen being installed the fitters were amazed at the quality and level accuracy of the floor. Next Level are very knowledgeable and if you’re in the market for under floor heating I would strongly recommend giving them a call and discussing your needs, they’re friendly, not pushy and stand by the quality of their work which they take real pride in.

Owner's reply
Thank you Frank for the fantastic 5-star review. We’re delighted our team’s knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail impressed both you and your builder. It was a pleasure to support your project through the delays, and we’re glad you’re happy with the finished underfloor heating and floor accuracy. We appreciate your recommendation and are always here if you need any further support or advice.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely excellent service from Alan, Gordon and Ryan, right from initial visit and advice. They prepped the pre-insulated 180sqm floor over multiple rooms and fitted all the heating pipe and manifold in two days. They pumped in the Cemfloor screed on third morning and it was all done in under three hours. Amazingly neat job, super flat finish, hard enough to walk on after 24hrs (despite being mid February and quite cold). Highly recommended and stress free!

After a number of frustrating and unsatisfactory dealings with other trades people, it was such a pleasure to deal with a professional, efficient and friendly company.

We chose Gordon and his team to do our floor insulation, underfloor heating and Screed. To say they did a great job would be an understatement! Gordon and Ryan arrived first thing on the morning of the install and started their craft right away. These guys were true professionals from start to finish. Next Level recently installed 100m2 insulation and under floor heating for us in our holiday cottage.

I have worked in the building industry for many years and I have found both Alan & Gordon to be thoroughly efficient and produced a first class installation from start to finish.

In my day we would have described them as proper tradesmen with a real old fashioned work ethic.

Normally I would worry about recommending people incase they didn’t live up to expectations but with Next Level under the stewardship of both Alan & Gordon I would have no such concerns. Gladly recommend them and their company.

As a manufacturer of underfloor heating products we don't install ourselves and therefore have worked closely with Next Level as one of our installation partners for as long as they have been in business.

Their level of work and service is top notch, and they truly embody their brand by executing 'next level' work. Their knowledge and expertise in their field is obvious in the quality of their installations. Alan & Gordon make a great team and are friendly and easy people to work with 🙌

We would highly recommend them for their services, they won't let you down😊.

I found Gordon and Alan's company nextlevelufhs.co.uk via Google searching for "Floor Leveling" and could not have got a better company to level my floors. Having watched some YouTube videos and then seeing Gordon and Alan setting up their laser and depth measuring equipment I knew I was getting very experienced professional tradesmen. My floor surfaces had been removed from the original concrete base prior to contacting them for a survey. This had left chisel gouges like the surface of the moon. The original concrete base was uneven with dips and highs. When the work was finished the floors were as flat as pancakes and level from front to back. A most desirable outcome.
Reducing my stress during this time was greatly appreciated because of their helpful communication prior to and during the work.
If you want the best then look no further than Gordon and Alan's company NextLevelUfhs.co.uk

Alan and Gordon were recommended by the screed manufacturer that was specified for our extension project. They completed a 40m2 area with 12m of flush door thresholds + UFH and manifold installation.

The team were great to deal with and very professional from the initial enquiry to completion of the project.

The team provided recommendations and technical advice throughout the quotation stage and were the only contractor to actually visit and survey the site prior to finalising the quote.

During the works, the Alan and Gordon were brilliant, taking time and effort to run through the plan for the works and made sure all protection was in place.

Our requirements were quite demanding with respect to flush thresholds and floor finishes being applied directly to the screed. The end product is brilliant, exceeding our expectations.

We were always worried about the screeding and potential mess / damage to large areas of floor to ceiling glazing , but this was not an issue with Alan and Gordon. Everything was protected and the place was spotless when the job was complete.

Of the several trades used during our renovation and extension project, the team at Next Level have been without a doubt the best and would highly recommend them. First class work and really nice guys.

Looking forward to having the team back in the near future for some further screeding works.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you want a professional floor insulation, underfloor heating, and screed job done brilliantly at a cost-effective price you cannot get better than Alan and Gordan. We have struggled with our self-build, emailing, and calling companies no one bothers to call or acknowledge your emails. I called Alan on a Saturday morning; Alan and Gordan surveyed our site despite it being over 1 hours drive away from them and got back with a quote quickly. They completed our job last week, if everyone worked this way our experience in renovation would be a positive exciting adventure. Alan and co are very knowledgeable, they took time to get everything just so. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you so much next level. You are next level!

Amazingly neat job, super flat finish, hard enough to walk on after 24hrs (despite being mid February and quite cold). Highly recommended and stress free!

The magic of UFH

Fife’s finest underfloor heating systems

Dive into unmatched comfort with state-of-the-art UFH technology

Our experienced technical specialists perform this process when we install Next Level underfloor heating in Fife:

They lay down a system of pipes across your home, allowing warm water to flow through them, heating it from the base up. Next, we attach essential parts to the pipes to enable them to function correctly. Following that, we lay a thin layer of cement screed across the system. This makes it easier for the heat generated by the system to spread throughout your home.

This is a very precise process, and after its completion, the majority of you will notice the warm, comfortable feeling about your Fife homes, and you won’t even see anything different other than the fact that you find your living/work area comfortable and present.

I found Gordon and Alan's company nextlevelufhs.co.uk via Google searching for 'Floor Leveling' and could not have got a better company to level my floors. If you want the best then look no further than Gordon and Alan's company NextLevelUfhs.co.uk John Keggie https://www.nextlevelufhs.co.uk.co.uk/

Screed and underfloor heating can be a daunting thing but Alan & Gordon are top class. Explained everything clearly and knew the answer to every question instantly making the process stress free. The original floor was in terrible shape, I wasn’t sure we could even screed it. But with the skill and knowledge of Alan & Gordon they left the house perfectly level.

Alan, and the team, are absolutely fantastic. They removed a system that had been poorly fitted, and replaced it with a brand new water system. We chose Gordon and his team to do our floor insulation, underfloor heating and Screed. To say they did a great job would be an understatement! Gordon and Ryan arrived first thing on the morning of the install and started their craft right away. These guys were true professionals from start to finish. We have a lot to do for the home renovation still, but this piece of the puzzle was a very important one (so we could continue on with stairs and all other fixings on the ground floor). I highly recommend Next Level UFHS if you’re looking for the absolute best job in all of Scotland!!

We had Next Level UFH and Screed Solutions come and give us a quote for UFH and screed. Comunications were excellent and the quote was very competative so we decided to proceed with the installation in October of this year. It will be easier to rate them as follows:- 1- Workmanship and work ethic-Exceptional 2-Speed of installation-Exceptional 3-Communication skills-Exceptional It is a rare thing these days to find such a company that takes ALL of the stress away from the customer and puts your mind at ease. Our second fix joiners and electricians were very impressed especially with the work ethic, speed and quality of workmanship. We would not hesitate to recommend Gordon and the guys to anyone who wants UFH installed.

Next Level recently installed underfloor heating pipes and screed to our self-build. After a number of frustrating and unsatisfactory dealings with other trades people, it was such a pleasure to deal with a professional, efficient and friendly company. Alan and his team delivered on their promises from start to finish. They turned up when they said they would, did a first-class job laying both the pipes and the screed, and communicated well with us before, during and after the job was completed.

Frequently asked questions

The most common question our clients ask us about underfloor heating in Fife

How does underfloor heating work in Fife?

Underfloor heating works by using warm water that circulates internally through pipes installed beneath the floor surface or electric heating elements. Radiant heating heats the floor, which then radiates upward and ensures a secure and even temperature in the room.

👉 Get your expert survey, consultation and quote with Next Level

Is underfloor heating suitable for all types of flooring?

Underfloor heating is suitable for different floor coverings, from tiles, stones, laminate, engineered wood, and even carpet; however, the carpet should have low thermal resistance. Nevertheless, it is vital to consult a professional at Next Level to assess which floor type is suitable for underfloor heating.

👉 Get your expert survey, consultation and quote with Next Level

What are the benefits of underfloor heating compared to traditional radiators?

The benefits include even distribution of heat throughout the room, eliminating the visible radiators, thus creating more space for furniture, low energy consumption leading to the reduced heating system, and side comfort of warm floors, especially during cold seasons.

Can underfloor heating be installed in existing homes in Fife?

It can be installed in an initial home; however, the process may vary with several factors, including the property construction method used and the type of underfloor heating system to be installed.

Is underfloor heating compatible with renewable energy sources?

Had the best experience working with Alan and his team. Communication was brilliant and were always on hand to answer my questions. So impressed with the service and the installation looks so neat and tidy. Absolute gem to work with and would highly recommended! Thank you.

We had underfloor heating installed this week, and I can’t speak highly enough of Alan’s work. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the entire process, answered all our questions patiently, and made sure everything was done to the highest standard. The quality of the installation is excellent — neat, efficient, and clearly done with care and expertise. Alan and his team were also a pleasure to have around — friendly, respectful, and trustworthy.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
It was clear to see that all of the team take huge pride in their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone. Very competitively priced too!

Comunications were excellent and the quote was very competative so we decided to proceed with the installation in October of this year. It will be easier to rate them as follows:-
1- Workmanship and work ethic-Exceptional
2-Speed of installation-Exceptional
3-Communication skills-Exceptional

We chose Gordon and his team to do our floor insulation, underfloor heating and Screed. To say they did a great job would be an understatement! Gordon and Ryan arrived first thing on the morning of the install and started their craft right away. These guys were true professionals from start to finish. We have a lot to do for the home renovation still, but this piece of the puzzle was a very important one (so we could continue on with stairs and all other fixings on the ground floor). I highly recommend Next Level UFHS if you’re looking for the absolute best job in all of Scotland!!

Owner's reply
Hey Paul,

And it's fantastic to know that our hard work and dedication to quality really paid off for you. Being described as "proper tradesmen with a real old-fashioned work ethic" is truly humbling, especially coming from someone with your experience in the building industry :)
